I'm starting a new Monday series called "Where's the Focal Point?"

Today I'll be using a listing from an undisclosed city--for the homeowner's privacy.  This is about a 2,000 square foot home built in 1980.  I've chosen the front room to look at.  Here are the listing pictures of the front room:

10/2013 home listing; built 1980; about 2,000 square feet

So...where is the focal point? When someone walks into the front door, there is one very important wall that they would see.  That very important wall is the one with the stairwell, and is adjacent to the window.  You can see it here with the pair of Ikea Pello armchairs and the glider rocking chair:

Tomorrow I will write about the assets in this room (the good things that are here that the homeowner can keep and build on), and a few of the other issues going on.
